College Credit Plus
Valley View offers the College Credit Plus (CCP) program as another option for students in grades 7-12 to earn college and high school credits simultaneously.
The courses are offered through agreements with local public universities. The option is free to students, but it should be noted that it is an unfunded state mandate, in which Valley View must cover the costs.
Valley View offers courses in house taught by our teachers who are also certified Sinclair professors. Students at Valley View can also take courses through other colleges/universities including Miami regionals, Wright State, Miami Oxford, Cincinnati State and others.
Valley View high school graduation requirements are not waived but may be met through CCP courses. Through the program, students can complete a year of college or more, thus reducing the time and expenses required to earn a degree.
Because it’s transcripted college credit, it will transfer to any Ohio public institution of higher learning.
Associate's Degree Pathway
Students attending Valley View High School have the opportunity to pursue and earn an Associate of Arts – Liberal Arts Degree with a combination of College Credit Plus (CCP) courses offered at the high school or online and AP courses. The Associate of Arts-Liberal Arts is designed for students who are planning to transfer to a four-year college or university in a variety of majors. Transferring students can select specific electives based on the requirements of their intended major at the receiving institution. Credit earned through Advanced Placement (AP) require AP scores to be sent to Sinclair. Students must score a 3 or higher on the AP Exam to receive college credit unless otherwise noted.
